Oh my this is something! All visitor can come up with after 20 years of industrial wind projects is Penn State that supposedly "buys" wind energy? They may "buy" it, but they aren't using it. This is nothing more than buying RE certs (i.e; Wholefoods).

Penn state is NOT using wind energy. They are paying to SAY they are using it. The grid doesn't have a "wire" from the wind turbines to Penn State's facility.

This is nothing more than a marketing program to fund and "support" wind energy. Penn State is saying "we support the "market" of wind energy. But unless they are on a grid system that is different than the rest of the US, they aren't GETTING wind energy.

This IS NOT actual data of fossil fuel reduction or carbon emission reduction.

Heck, Vistior, there are several companies that have done this, and in fact this program is offered to residential customers as well. But let's be clear, it's structured just like a CHARITY program "I give", "I support" --- it's a VOTE --- not any indication of actual use.

Can Penn State check off a box, "I want only wind power to provide my electricy" can someone else say "I only want non-nuclear to provide my power" --- of course not, that's not an option on our power grid.

If you beleive this is proof that industrial wind is effective and reduces fossil fuel and carbon emissions, we are talking apples and oranges.

Please don't push a market support campaign as data of the operational record of industrial wind.

Its kind of sad that Formosa provides no data of his own. Its not a charity but a supply and demand equation. They are using wind energy and are paying for it. This is coming from the same guy that said that Penn state wasn't buying from the grid. He backs up his assertions with nothing but opinion based upon no facts. Why - because he's wrong.
