Interestingly enough, I just got a call from a NYC-based survey company called ORC Macro. They wanted to know if I supported wind energy generation facilities in my town. I was only allowed to answer if I was a registered voter, so that makes me think that maybe one of the candidates is feeling out the issue.

Anyway, questions...

How familiar are you with wind generation facilities and plans for your town?

Do you support wind generation facilities in your town, owned and operated by commercial interests?

Do you support wind generation facilities in your town, owned by the town government?

If you answer 'yes' to either of these questions, then you get 'Why?'

That was about the size of it. Digging up some data on ORC, they do seem to do a bit of work for government agencies and PACs, so it could be NYSERDA, a politico, or lobbyists.
